The story of Estonia and its fast economic development has always been one of a kind - whether we are talking about the double-digit GDP growths in the middle of the past decade or steep declines of 2009. There's something to learn form every step of it.
At the early days of 2010 it is fair to say that we - the businesspeople, policy makers and consumers of Estonia have put up well to the world-wide economic crisis. Though the economy did not grow and unemployment is almost all-time high there are many signs that allow positive expectations towards coming years. Most of the companies have adapted to new conditions very fast and have maintained their competitiveness through cost cutting, layoffs and active search of new markets and clients. Once again flexibility of the companies and of the climate was proved.
Investment-wise, availability of highly qualified workforce, attractive taxation system, EU membership and much expected euro-zone membership since 2011 should make you consider Estonia as your next destination. Additional EU-funded investments into infrastructure and research & development activities make higher value-added production and services even more accessible.
So, we hope to see you all doing business in Estonia, contributing to new growth cycle and hope you'll give us a chance to surprise you positively.
